As some of you already know Mr. Jim Campbell stepped down as the Wheeler Lake President at the 2015 Fall Meeting. During that meeting the 7 other Board Members present at the meeting elected me to be the President of the Wheeler Lake Association.
First and foremost, I want to thank Mr. Jim Campbell for his time and dedication as the Wheeler Lake Association President for the past nine years. It will be hard for me to fill his shoes, but I will give 115% of effort in trying to fulfill the needs of WLA and its members.
Some history on me and why I choose to accept the nomination. I grew up in Onalaska, WI right on the Mississippi, Black, and La Crosse Rivers. The time spent on the river in the summer with my family was priceless. During the summers if I was not fishing or water skiing I was probably at a summer hockey camp. During both summer and winter hockey, camps and traveling teams brought me up to the Northwoods of Wisconsin and Minnesota. One of my favorite tournaments I remember as a kid was in Antigo. That was as close to Lakewood, WI, I ever got until 2009. In the summer 2009 my girlfriend at the time, Kim May, brought me to her favorite place. That place was Wheeler Lake. Her great grandparents have been coming up here since the 1940’s. I fell in love with the Town of Lakewood and Wheeler Lake immediately. In 2010 Kim and I were married at Waubee Lake Lodge. Throughout the past five years Kim and I realized we wanted to live in Lakewood full time. Our dream has come true.
Being a full time resident on Wheeler Lake, I want to ensure that it remains the pristine lake that it is and ensure future Wheeler Lake generations will be able to enjoy what it has become. I realize that I will not have all the answers, but I will try doing everything possible to see that Wheeler Lake remains an enjoyable and safe atmosphere for all families to enjoy.
I would like to have an open door policy. If anyone has questions, comments, concerns, opinions, or any information they feel the WLA Board show know about please do not hesitate to call or email. My contact information is:

In closing, I want to thank the residents in the area that have very graciously welcomed Kim and I to the area. We have met many of you and are eagerly waiting to develop more friendships in the area.
